Tonight's class was very interesting and provided food for thought. I enjoyed
hearing about the numerous methods of communications. I never knew there were so
many ways schools can connect with parents. I never considered using social media as
a communication tool. In the schools where I work, considering the cliental they cater
to, this can be very useful. I enjoy using technology and toying with new programs.
I am looking forward to learning more about these programs and sites and their uses.
I liked the quote, "Leadership is bringing people to where they weren't ready to go."
It's an interesting twist on the definition of a leader. I never thought of a leader in that
way but the more I think of it, I can see that it's true. I do not completely agree with the
statement "you own the meeting". I do not feel that it is true in my school. I do however
agree that you need to be prepared and use the opportunity to make a good impression. I
am looking forward to learning and gaining many new insights this semester. Thank you!
