As a teacher I have learned that pausing, to give my students time to process info is important.Repeating or rephrasing , if done properly is not boring but is a method of emphasis. One must also be sensitive to the reaction of the audience.A communicator has to be willing to shift gears or even drop what he prepared if he feels that he is losing his audience.
As much as we encourage everyone's involvement it was good hearing the prof. say again that a leader shares decisions but not the entire process.A leader has to take the authority and lead. Not everyone should have a say about everything.
